Where did this come from?
We got into Q yesterday afternoon and set up in winds 25 to 35 MPH. Not fun. The weather report said a wind alert existed until 8:00 last night, but we still had to literally drag Muffin and Annie out to do their thing. Once that was done, they were like a couple of sled dogs pulling Carol back to the trailer door.
This morning was 40 degrees, clear, and calm. Yahoo!!
Y'all come on down.

Brad & Carol,
I saw you folks while heading into Parker yesterday. When I got back from town, I asked Doug Henry who MOC77 was. He told me it was you guys. We'll be in Sunday .....see you then.

Those types of winds can sure make setting up a nasty experience! Glad to hear you got settled in.
Now I have a question...what is the item in your avatar picture? I feel like I should know what it is but it is escaping me! I hate getting older and I am only in my 40s! UGH!

It's supposed to settle down by tonight and just be colder than normal for a few days.

Bears a very striking resemblance to a Master EOD badge worn proudly by very experienced Air Force bomb disposal folks. Love you guys!

Thank you DQDick for that reassuring post about being a little colder for a few days! Hopefully it reaches the normal temps by the time we get there. Right now we are experiencing snow and 12 degrees! Can't wait to be there!
Thanks Mike for the input on the badge! I am a former Navy Brat and I couldn't quite place that one! Bomb disposal! WOW! Thanks Lasater for your service!

Carol,
I would think that once you are a Navy brat you would always be a Navy brat.
Plus you really need to be careful on those slick roadways.

I am one of the lucky ones. 23 years in the Air Force as EOD plus another 20 working for the Army Corps of Engineers as an Ordnance & Explosives Safety Specialist. After 43 years of handling bombs and bullets, I am fully retired and enjoy watching the young people do their thing.
Thank you all for your kind words.
