Mouse Insurance

We had mice that destroyed our new leather Euro style recliners. DH rewired the TV and DVD player where they ate thru the power cords and we cleaned out all the other really lousy things they did. Just wondering if anyone knows if this kind of damage is covered under the RV policy or homeowners? We have the Casa hooked up at a local campground overnight to try to test out the electrical to see if the little rat bast*rds ate thru that too. So far so good. If anyone has an answer to the insurance question please let me know. Thanks...Joanie

Not sure what type of insurnace you have, but normal policies consider mice as "vermin" and they are not covered by your policy. I would call the agent that wrote the policy and turn in a claim. Sorry about your problem. Steel wool works great stuffing in areas where there is a small space. They will not chew through the steel wool.

I know it has been mentioned before, but what is the best method of prevention of those vermin, to keep them out?

Anyone?

We have had success for years by strewing Bounce laundry sheets around the rig when in storage and in the basements and cupboards, drawers, under the sinks etc at all times.
