A/C vent filter

My 2015 Montana air conditioning system has filters in the ceiling vents. I have been cleaning them but now I need to replace them. I can't find the exact filter and wonder what others have done to replace the filters since they have a cardboard frame.

I just buy replacement window AC filters from Walmart or Amazon or wherever and cut them to fit. I make two sets, then when I take the dirty ones out to wash every two weeks I just put new ones in while the cleaned ones dry. Since we winter where it's warm I replace both sets about ever year.
