Vent Covers
I read in some other posts about other users with vent covers falling apart. I have the same issue but like many of you had never seen a cover screw on like this. Thank you to the previous posters for helping me find out what these covers were. Now i have another question. The "supposed" Montana rep in San Antonio was worthless. He wouldn't even get out of his chair to help me locate the part and said he couldn't look it up. Other posts here have given me the part number but where can I order it? I called the Montana customer service number and they said they don't have an parts order over the phone. Any suggestions? i am going to jury rig something since we will be on the road the next 3 weeks and the cover is completely gone. Jim

This may or may not help. In the past, I have used Google to locate parts by using the part number. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. It can help if you know the manufacturer's name but it's not always necessary. If that don't work, go to the Keystone site, find another dealer and call them to see if they have the part. Repeat as needed.

Not sure which ones you are talking about, but the bathroom vent and fan in my '06 3400 were made by a company called Ventline.....

Jim are you talking about the covers that you crank open to vent the bathroom area or the like? If it is that cover, I purchased my cover/s from Camping World when mine cracked/shattered. They had them in stock and in several shades. If you are talking about the tank vents, they can also be purchased to Camping World. And if you are talking about the roof vents, the same answer CW. Apparently the rep in San Antonio needs to have a talking to by Keystone especially if he wants to stay in business. Not a real good way to treat a MOC member especially since word spreads like fire!

Thanks for the responces. No, these are not the crank open type. I did get a reply from the Montana official website for customer service. I will attach his comments.
Dear Mr. Voss,
Thank you for taking the time to contact Keystone RV. Is this vent the item you are looking for? This is called a mushroom attic vent and your dealer can order this from Keystone. Unfortunately, Keystone is not licensed for retail sales so this must be purchased through a dealer.
Regards,

Sorry, the picture didn't come through. Don't know how to add it here but it is a roof vent. He called it a "504445". Others have used a PN 102776.

Call or look up on line PPL in Houston, they have on line catalogs and are very helpful on the phone. I order odd items from them from time to time and they ship anywhere.

ok final posting on the subject. Contacted my local rep again and must have got a different person. He was very helpful. Roof vent also called a mushroom vent. One on each end of roof. Correct part number is 102776. $11.20 each. It is a screw on type, different from the snap on plumbing vent covers.

I lost two of those vent covers to low hanging trees when we were driving to friends' driveway. I got two universal replacement vent covers at an rv dealer's place and they've been fine.

And to keep those replacement covers from getting lost, I drilled a hole in the pipe and another in the cover and used a nylon tie to keep them when low branches take them off. Haven't lost one since.
