Ford F350 Diesel Having Trouble Starting - Help!

After running for a couple of hours, towing the 5ver, shut the truck off at a rest stop, came back after about 15 minutes and it wouldn't start. No overheating of engine. No indication of water in fuel. Everything appeared normal. Turned key and cranked - no response. Tried cranking for 30 seconds on several occasions with no result. After about an hour, she started right up. We're in Skagway, AK with no shop around. Any ideas?

I have no idea, but you might post your problem over on the Diesel stop forum. Good luck with it.

This is what Ford in Salt Lake City did to my F350 when it did just as yours did.:

EEC test C P2293. HPOP leak @ STC fitting @ rear of pump. R&R fitting & Brace per TSB 06-17-06.

This was at 38,390 miles on the vehicle.

illapah, thanks for that info. I have contacted the Ford dealer in Whitehorse, YT for an appointment next week. I'm going to check the TSB on Ford's website before we go over there. This will help a lot.

Thanks again,

Bob
