AC or Heat into the garage of a 381th

Has anyone replaced the vent covers from the bed platform of a 381th with louvered covers or maybe considered putting blockers on this vent during the summer?

We discovered something the hard way. Parked the 381th on the side of house, attached the power like we always do, extended the slides and turned on both AC units. The outside temperatures is in the mid 90's heat index is around 105. When I went in the next day, the temperature in the trailer is still in the mid 80's and both systems are running continuously. HOLY CRAP was my first thought, then I was thinking we needed to call a repair shop. We had company coming that afternoon and everyone wanted to sit outside. I go to the trailer and pull the chairs and then notice that I had left the underbelly door open on the other side of the trailer. I go close it not thinking about it, pull the chairs and went on about my day. When I go to put the chairs back in, I notice how cool and pleasant it is in the storage compartment. I go inside the trailer and now it is in the low 70's. I checked the temperature in the trailer versus under the trailer and they are within 5 degrees..

What we found is there was almost as much cold air entering the storage as was entering our living room. There was actual air flowing coming down the side storage panels and it was all coming from the garage. This was being fed by the so called vent in the bed frame of the bedroom. WOW. Now back to my question.

Has anyone replaced these AC loss points with louvered vent covers??

We just bought ours about a month ago and have the same temps. The 2 A/C units have no problem keeping up with those vents under the bed open, 'course I never left any compartment doors open. I kinda like having everything below about the same temp so long as it's not taxing the heating and cooling. Floors are cool in summer and warm in winter. That's how wife and I think about it.
