Hi bigskyjimmy
Your reference to poor dealers is quite valid. I notice on their web site one of the dealers listed has the poorest customer relations record you can find.
However if Keystone had any simulance of a valid customer relations / service department it would have gone a long way in changing my outlook about Thor / Keystone.
Keystone customer relations / service has lied to me lied about me and cheated me out of about $20,000.
For what I now have in this RV I could have purchased a top of the line unit not built in Indiana.

Had a good experience taking the Thor tour. It was pretty special seeing your exact model being produced in different stages from start to finish. One question came up about how many MH's were being produced each week at their factory. They have scaled back to 25 units per week. The tour guide explained that the factory could probably produce close to double that amount but they pulled back and are concentrating on strict quality control.
We were not allowed to take photos during the tour and when I got back to our coach I really wanted more information. I emailed Thor Customer Service requesting any and all drawings for my Challenger 37GT. Within 3 days I received an email containing all the drawings, from plumbing to electrical! I about ran my printer out of ink printing the 30+ pages!
I think back to some of the calls and/or emails to Keystone RV after purchasing my first new Montana. Anybody ever email Keystone RV and ask for complete production drawings?

I was told they don’t exist.

Tried to get a wiring diagram for the 2010. Keystone did respond, with handdrawn, not useful.

25 units a week vs 22 units a day at the Montana plant. Might be more time for quality control.

Certainly much slower production line. Significantly more time to do things right. Too bad, not Montana line.

Mike, the electrical included a few pages for both currents. Then there was 2 additional pages for how the 3 TV's are wired from everything to rooftop antenna to factory installed HDMI switch box. It was very detailed.
Richfaa, besides the regular workers assembling coaches, we observed a couple people dressed a little "cleaner" walking around to different stations with a clipboard. It seemed to me they were some type of quality control folks but I didn't ask.
These are just my first impressions of a true Thor brand MH, not some RV company that Thor bought out. Who knows, in a year or so I may not be a fan of Thor MH's or anything Thor, but I have dug around on this coach pretty completely and like what I am finding. Time will tell.

Sounds like a very positive start for you. Expect you will take possession of a great rig.

I am going to be more focused on the quality control aspect this year on the Factory tour. I will be observing and asking questions. We did see the red (problem) tags at various points on the line last year but did not know who put them there and what the procedure is.
