TRC surge protector

Our TRC 50 amp surge protector is approximately 5 yrs old. In the past it has turned off the power at RV Parks and turned it back on a few times through. 24 hr period. We are currently in Palm Springs and last night it turned the power off and on about every 30 minutes, so now I'm wondering if the RV Parks power supply is that flakey or is there a problem with the surge protector. Has anyone else experienced this with their surge protector? Appreciate your thoughts.

Does your surge protector show any faults?

The unit we have simply has led lights. Two of the lights stay on while they check the circuit. If it checks out there is a click and a green light comes on. There is a red led that is suppose to come on if there is a serious problem with the connection, and it appears this light is not on.

This is why I prefer the Progressive EMS unit. Pricy, but it gives you an error code and what the code means is written on the front of the box. With what you have you really don't know where the fault lies.

We started out with the TRC Portable, but it would shut our power down in the early morning hours when the demand on the Parks electric was at it lowest, thus highest voltage, but still well within normal limits, so we exchanged it for a new unit which worked fine. Eventually went with the Hard Wired Progressive and love the remote readout.

I love my Progressive EMS hard wired with the remote readout. Some one said they are pricey. You get what you pay for. Progressive has the best warranty and great customer service.

We have had three brands, to include the progressive we have now, and have never experienced what you describe. Because of multiple parks you mentioned, I would be thinking bad device.
