Navybanker, that $200 for a G614 is a bargain basement price. You did good on that one!
As for running the different tire when the spare is needed, I'd keep that to a minimum. I did that once on a prior Montana that came with some D-rated tires that had a higher weight rating than most E-rated tires. When I needed to buy a used tire on a Sunday morning on the road when no new tire in the size was available, that used one was E-rated. I put it on the ground instead of doing a swap with the spare.
After a few hundred miles I stopped at the Keystone Service Center because of severe tire wear. Darrell at the Service Center took one look and told me to never run different load rated tires on the same axle for more than a minimum amount of miles. Apparently they have a different rolling resistance and the drag on one side will cause axle misalignment. Seems strange to me that it would take so little to throw an axle out of alignment but that's what he said and he's the expert. I sure am not.
