Running both furnace and A/C

In the springtime, when temps vary widely during the day, can you set the front thermostat to furnace at say 70 and the rear to A/C at 75 to keep the puppies in a comfort zone while at work during the day?

On ours would have to set rear thermostat to heat and front to air. Front will not control furnace even though it will show on thermostat

We set the bedroom to AC and the livingroom to furnace and as long as there is enough difference in temp they work very well together.

Our model is a front living room and is opposite from that (IE: the kitchen is the front thermostat and it controls the furnace, rear is bedroom and only controls the rear A/C. Although like yours it has Furnace on it as a function).

How much difference do you run?
