New to Montana!

Hello, we are Jim & Lisa Santore, and we just purchased our 2022 Montana Legacy at the Tampa RV Show. However, we will not get it until late March or April, because we ordered the Super Solar 1200 package.

We are very excited to do a lot of traveling, since I (Lisa) just retired and we are finally able to RV for longer periods of time. We love Keystone, and we currently have a 2010 Keystone Laredo 245RLS, that has been an awesome rig for us.

We are both retired military Navy & Army, (noticed I put Navy first), and we also both enjoy Ham Radio which we set up a shack in our rig.

Our stick home is in Bunnell, Florida (halfway between Daytona Beach and St. Augustine) where we have 3 acres with chickens, ducks and guineas.

We are super excited to join the Montana Owners Club in Indiana at the Elkhart location in September, and are looking to meet many new friends.

A super shout out to Colin and Chris (Factory reps of Keystone) and Josh Miller of Battle Born Batteries (Dragon Fly) for helping us get the exact set-up we wanted in a Montana!

Looking forward to many adventures!

Welcome to the forums, and congrats on your decision to get a new Montana. I think you are right about "retirement". When you retire, the "outings" get longer and longer until one day you realize you are actually full timing!

Enjoy that new camper. Keep us all posted on your progress! (I) look forward to hearing more about your progress! Enjoy!

You mentioned your acreage with various animals. Did you forget 'crocs'!!! LOL Welcome to the club.
When you are ready to hit the road long term, ask here as many of us have seen most of the USA. Me, I am partial to the Rockies and we hit Wyoming and usually Montana yearly (relatives, oh, and quilt shops!).

UPDATE! Good news and Bad news. New rig is NOT coming from Tampa, now coming from Elkhart, Indiana. Not until end of June. But we got EXACTLY what we wanted, INCLUDING Disc Brakes and the Super Solar 1200i, ALL THANKS TO JARRED AT TIARA RV in ELKHART!. GO TEAM MONTANA.

Bad news is: STAY AWAY FROM LAZY DAYS in TAMPA, Florida. Nothing but Lies and deceit, and PROBLEMS. Salesman fighting each other and refusal to give back initial Deposit Money after they changed the price, and told us we were getting options, that we knew were not available. They sent us a new invoice, and told us to sign it. It had prices on it that were no where near what we agreed to. They claimed they lost our original order. Just warning all, to steer clear!
