NON-Remote flood (scare) light question

New to the forum and first time post

I just bought a very well kept 2005 3670RL. I have the round flood (or scare ) lights; one on the door side and one on the drivers side that will not turn on with the switch on the panel just inside the door (right by the stairs going into the bedroom). Neither one will come on. All of the posts I have found here in relation to that discuss the remote control issue. This rig does not have the remote controller interface in the front compartment where the hydraulics are at, so my assumption is that they do not have the remote option. There was no remote for this to be found anywhere, as well. I just wanted to see if there was perhaps something I was overlooking before I remove them and test the fixtures and replace the bulbs. It is not that I am lazy, it is just I have a few days before we get back to the lake, so I thought I would ask in the meantime, LOL !

Does anyone have any thoughts or suggestions ? It is likely the bulbs but since neither one will illuminate I thought it might be one of those little hidden Montana tricks.

Thanks in advance for the help !

Gary

Sorry. Forgot to mention that. All fuses are good.

If they were turned on or off with the remote they have to be turned on or off with the remote.

It is very possible that both bulbs are burned out and the previous owner never replaced them. I don't think they had remotes that far back in time.

As for the fuses, how did you check them? Did you pull the fuses and check them? Did you use a voltmeter and check to see that you have 12 volts on both sides of the fuse? Or did you go by the little red blown fuse indicators at each fuse?

Thanks BB_TX.

Unless they put the remote interface controller in a different location other that the front storage by the hyd. pump like every other post has indicated then, then I agree with you that this coach does not have the remote feature. I have ohm'd out all of the fuses and made sure that I have 12 volts across them. I guess the point of my post was to find out if there is anything else to look at before I climb up and take the fixture apart. I suspect that the bulbs are the culprit but thought it wouldn't hurt to ask while I am sitting in the office all week and can't check them out.

Thanks for the help !

If that's the case and you're still wanting to leave checking bulbs & fixtures last; then, check your switch(s).

I bet Bill (BBTX)has it right. The bulbs are probably blown. It's not unreasonable to believe considering the age of the coach.

I would label this as fake news. My scare lights work with the switch as well as the remote. I'm just sayin.

Early on, I had a bulb fail in one of ours. Turned out to be water had gotten into the fixture. I was able to clean things up and, even though the filament in the bulb appeared to be intact, the thing was too corroded and I just put in a new bulb. That was maybe four years ago and it's still working. I also checked the other side and had to clean that one too. I think when they were installed, the gasket wasn't placed correctly.
