Extended Kitchen work top Gas Strut

Hello.

Can someone be so kind and have a look on their Montana and see what the part number is for the gas spring/Strut that holds up the extended Kitchen work top that is next to the sinks? and the door entry gas spring/Strut please? both these seem to be missing, i have no clue what size they are meant to be, I have searched with google and cannot find no info on them.

Thank you.

It would help greatly if you provided the year & model of your Montana.

Yes sorry about that. It says on the Certificate of origin, Date: 8/16/2011. year: 2012. Make: Montana. Model: MO3750FL12.

Thank you.

Don't have your model, so don't have the counter top extension. The door strut on my 3800RE was rated at 80 lbs, but that was way too much force on the strut mounting hardware and I changed mine out for a strut that was 20 lbs. When open, the strut holds the door open at 90 degrees. You should be able to find one with the right length and with just enough force to keep the door open until the wind really blows in which case you probably want the door closed. If you put a strut rated at 80 lbs on the door, you will run into the problem that a lot of us with door struts have had...strut brackets being ripped out of the door!!! John

Thanks for the reply John. It looks like that's what has happened as the door is missing its bracket and is bent.
