Parks disappearing

It's not just the feds, they're only the tip of the iceberg. Out here in the plans many small towns used to have RV parks and they were nice, shady, cheap and safe. Many of those are now gone due to the economy and those that survive are poorly maintained.

For a smaller family owned campground, the return on investment is often pretty small. The bucks come when the park is sold.

I talked to the owner of a 45 spot park, he said the liability insurance was getting way out of hand and he was most likely going to reopen next winter.
