Need to replace Inverter for res frig on the road
In Gallup and be in Creed, CO. tomorrow PM. Need to replace WF 5110-H inverter that came with Montana 3611RL, 2015. Would like to purchase and have delivered to me there at CG. Staying for a week so should have plenty of time to receive it before we leave. Any advise on brand or company to order from. The easier to install like original the better. Anyone have tips I'm all ears. Inverter won't work on the road but allows pass-thru for shore power .

Did you verify that the fuse in the cable from the batteries is good? If not, possibly that is all there is wrong and you might get lucky with just a fuse replacement.

Will do thanks. I ain't never that lucky! And it was working so good. Started leaving it on after connecting to shore power as was recommended by another user. in case of power outage at CG (which had just happened. got my attention . Thats when issue started. kept tripping itself off after a day or two. I'd turn it back on. would start losing cold for about 15- 30 min then cool back down. called factory. did hard reset. Later red light. Called again. He said DOA. Had pulled batteries and tested the day before we left because I was going to buy 2 new ones. 100% charged & 13.1-13.2. So put them back in. and here we are a week later.

You'll find that wfco has replaced the h variant with a -hp. Haven't installed an inverter yet, but my plan is for the xantrex freedom xI model when I do get around to it.

Leaving the inverter on all the time will not hurt it and is designed to operate that way. I don't want to sound critical but if WFCO inverters are as crappy as their converters that explains it all.

In Creede and just had Holiday RV South to replace inverter for res frig. Denise (tech) did a great job. I have Extended First Warranty......Will NEVER buy from them again. Hassels, dragging feet while tech & I wait for approval and still waiting to hear back. Paid out of my pocket so as not to keep tech waiting. She left 3 hrs ago! Holiday South will reimburse me IF & WHEN they get approval from warranty company. Old inverter was bad , replaced with new version that is supposed to cure the problem the old one had...WF 5110R.
