TV and Home Theater replacement

2011 3455SA Hickory - Came with Samsung TV and Home Theater. TV was damaged and the dealer replaced it with a Vizio from another rig. The Vizio showed it cheap stuff colors two years ago and its has been nursed along ti'ill now (Squeezing and tapping). The rig is up for sale and I have replaced the Vizio with a new (non smart) Samsung. The TV used to turn on automatically when the Home Theater was activated. It does not do it anymore and there are no unplugged cables. Anyone have this problem or a solution?

This happens with the aid of 'hdmi-cec'. So new samsung tv must support the cec function. And the hdmi cable being used must also support cec in case you also used another hdmi cable. Some cheaper cables don't support this. Hdmi-cec is also known in the samsung world as 'anynet+'. So check to make sure that new tv supports anynet+ and same with the hdmi cable. Try plugging the hdmi cable into the tv with the tv already on or maybe changing source via the remote with both units on to see if the message comes up on the tv "disconnecting from anynet+.
