3400RL question on kitchen slide

Has any body changed the way the fender flares come to gether on the kitchen slide? From the side it is not to bad but from the rear it looks broke. The dealer said they nead to redsign this area.

Don't know of a fix Don, but I agree, it looks terrible.

I noticed some of the competitors put a white edging strip around the slide portion. It at least makes it look like it was designed that way.

You need to keep a eye on them also as they flap in the breeze as you travel down the road. The sheet metal screws worked out of ours and we nearly lost the skirt. Check them for tightness. We are replacing all the sheet metal screws with a bolt, nut and lock washer.

I was able to pull mine in and secure to a brace with a ty-rap. I drilled a small hole in the fibreglass flare, at the bottom, to insert the ty-rap through. It has held it firm for many miles.

Sorry for the off topic response, but I'm curious as to the manufacturer of the A/C unit in your 3400. Also did you get the second A/C unit and if so is the from the same manufacturer?

Thanks.

Bill,

Not sure who you were asking -?

Mine are factory -
Dometic Duo-Therm Briskair 57915.541 front (non-ducted)
Dometic Duo-Therm Quick-Cool 58516.331 rear (ducted)

They are actually both the same units, just different names based on whether they are ducted or not.

Brad, thanks for the response! I was really asking anyone with a 3400 as I wanted to look up the specs on the A/C unit.

Thanks again for the info.
