I love them - and they posed for the picture! I miss my little guy so much - he posed for pictures also. We've decided not to get another dog until we are done with full timing. We may break down - we'll see. I'm having this "I'm free" feeling - for the first time since I was 16 - no one to look after!
Happy trails................

This rally we attended was in honor of "Old Fellow" a rescued black lab mix. He had been left at a campground in the East. He took care of himself for 5 years. These caring people rescued him. Took them 3 trips to get him. He had some serious health problems, including heart worms and a bad foot that had been in a trap. He is fine now, everything fixed. There has been a book written about him and possible movie in the future. The book has not been published but will be soon.

This is Old Fellow

Oh now you've gone and done it! Now, when Maureen sees this we will just have to do the same for our Amie & Heidi. Maureen just loves to dress ours up too, and a pic like that just has to put a smile on your face. Thanks for the pics!

Ah! As you're doing dogs I can't resist. These are our 5 week old goldens yesterday just before I had to add the second story to the whelping box as they all figured out how to get out, how to collect things and how to drag them back in.

Too cute, is right, Carol! The goldens are irresistable.

Dustytuu, we had schnauzers for over 35 years, five in all, so I know how precious they are. Our son is getting a new baby in September so we'll all be jealous

Ahhhhhhhhhhh I'd take them all if I could. First time in 42 years of marriage we haven't had a dog. Just baby sat our sons two goldens this 4th of July though.

I believe I read an article about Old Fellow. I can't remember where. Maybe it was in the Highways magazine. I'm happy for Old Fellow!

Yes it was in Highways magazine. There is going to be a follow up story on the "old fellow rally" in Highways magazine but not sure when.
Old fellow was rescued by Richard and Sue, who are his new parents now. They have been through a lot with him when he was treated for the heart worms. They almost lost him then. He is doing great now.
Doesn't he look happy?
