Just returned from overnighting at Atlanta South RV Resort. This campground is the closest one to the home we currently have on the market so wanted to check it out in case the house sells and we need to stay in our Montana for a few days/weeks before leaving the area. Sorry to say we will continue to look a little further. This resort is ideal if you are traveling north or south on I-75 for an overnight stop. It was previously a KOA but changed owners a little over a year ago. The new owners are doing a great deal of upgrading such as paving the interior roads, have built a new office and laundry area, and added gravel to several of the sights. The park was very clean including the shower and bathroom area. However the spaces for the most part are very close together. They do have several pull through sites that will accomodate our triple slides (barely). They do not have cable tv hook ups although there are several Atlanta area TV stations that can be clearly picked up with the antenna. Out of approximately 150 sites nearly 100 are long term or permanent residents. There is no gate security. The first row of sites LE 1 - LE 18 (and 5 small cabins) back up to the interstate. There did seem to be some larger sites LN 1-LN 15 in the back area of the park. These 15 sites backed up to a wooded area. I believe all these sites were occupied by long term renters. There was also some construction at the back of the park where they seemed to have a storage area for unoccupied units. The personnel were very friendly and as I said earlier this would be a good overnight parking site, but for long term (a week or more) we would desire a larger site with a little more breathing room.
