Back in Maine

Well, we started for Novia Scotia this morning; got about 30 miles from St. Martins and decided we just didn't want to go there this year, so we made a U-y and headed for Bangor. We're at the Pumpkin Patch RV park in Hermon, ME for a few days. We've been on the go constantly for the last couple of years with a layout last winter of 2 1/2 months, and it's starting to show. I think we need some serious down time. Oh, listen to me whine!! Shame on me.

Pam ... Two years ago, we went to the American Folk Festival in Bangor at the end of August ... had a blast! Don't know if you'll be in Bangor long enough, or even if the festival is still going on, but if you are and if it is, I'm sure you'll have a good time ...

And don't forget to drive by and get a photo or two of Stephen King's house!

We're jealous your "stuck" in Maine in our favorite neck of the woods. We were just up at Bailey Island yesterday for a day trip and a clam bake put on by the Sons of Norway organization up there. We were at a private home with about 100 other folks and it was the most gorgeous location for a home I've seen yet. Of course, a stop at LL Beans on the way home filled our closets with more clothing then we need. BTW....the lobster was terrific too. :-)

Pete, we saw a trailer with a kayak carried on the back and I was going to take a picture of the set up for you but the guy left before we could get over there. He had a bracket at the bottom for one end of the kayak and bungees to hold the top. It looked like it would work on your Monty.

All right you guys.... If you keep talking about clam bakes and lobster my drool will soon come right through your computer... Ummm, I can just taste them. You can't find better anywhere.
