We are looking to SELL our Montana
We've looking to sell our 2007 3295 Montana. We need some idea on where to list it. We were thinking of putting it on a lot with some one who will sale it on consignment. I was also thinking about Ebay. Any good idea out there.

You could try putting a price on it here as long as you posted about it. You will more than likely get the straight scoop about your price from our members too.

List it in the "For Sale" area. I assume you are wanting to SELL it. If so please list what you think are the important aspects of your rig.

Try eBay, I sold my last RV there...include lots of pictures and a phone number where an interested party can call you.

We sold our old 5ver using www.rvtrader.com. I took a bunch of pictures and posted them. It was worth the cost to list through them. We got inquiries from all over the US and sold it to a couple about 350 miles away. Much more effective than the local paper. Judi

My favorite website for looking was RVonline.
That said, I bought my new to me Montana via trolling RVtrader.
Seller had a bare-bones ad - but a very reasonable price - not the NADA or close to NADA grossly inflated asking prices that most sellers use.
I would never have called or purchased if asking price was not at the low end of same or very similar units for sale.
Suggest you research same units for sale (online sales sites, PPL, etc) and price no more than a few $k more than the lowest prices for same 05 or 06 units for sale if you're eager to sell.
Good luck!

I sold my diesel pusher on RVonline. I live in Florida and sold it to a guy in Calf. He flew in and bought it. We got a lot of calls from RVonline.
Good luck in selling it.

In addition to the others, I'm hearing about lots of vehicles including rv's being sold on craig's list. I think it's www.craigslist.com .

We have had good luck with Choice RV Consignment in Sanger, Tx. Located just north of Denton, TX on I-35. Our 2005 3295 RK is currently pending sold and we sold another one there a couple of years ago. We ended up netting almost Blue Book value and no hassle for us since they handle all the paper work, advertising and just send you a check at the end.

Was that high or low Blue Book? Netting? What was their commission? A flat dollar amount or a percentage of the ultimate sales price? Where you able to put a stop price or did they have full discretion?

The average retail on NADA for our Montana was $30,450 and we sold it for $29,000. Also, the commission is negotiable at Choice RV depending on the selling price. We only paid $1K which is very fair. It's totally up to the seller as to whether or not to accept an offer. It's a family owned business and they are flexible -- if you decide you want to take your trailer off the lot for awhile you can pick it up and then bring it back. The nice thing about it is that they handle all the advertisement and title work. They do charge a $50.00 monthly fee, but we've only had our trailer over there for 2 months and they didn't charge us the fee until January.
