Needed, a volunteer organizer

We need a volunteer to organize our gatherings this year. Bill and Ann did one year, Al and Carol did one year, Marge did a year. Now, we find we are in need of a volunteer to organize this year's 3rd Thursday of the month gatherings.

Duties: Find a place for a pot luck, OR call a local eatery and reserve a room. Post date, time, event here on MOC Rio Grande Winter Texan area of the forum.

That is about it.

We have found many of the local eateries have rooms that can be reserved and function quite well for this get together. Pepe's on the River, Mr. Gati Pizza, Golden Corral (suggest not booking the one just south of 83 in McAllen, have not had good reports about that particular store).

Only takes a quick phone call, a quick post and let the good times roll.

I am posting this for Countryfolks, Mary Shorb. (Skip has their computer tied up in a project for someone else, and she is reluctant to mess with it, cannot say I blame her! )

Mary has kindly scheduled a meal for us for January!

I would suggest Pepe's in March, when it is more likely to be warm (remember last year?). I doubt Pepe's requires any organizing other than setting a time and date, why don't we say Pepe's on the River on March 20 at 11:30? Pepe's on the River is off Conway, south of the expressway, if anyone needs better directions, just ask.

If it is "cool" in the valley today, just keep in mind that it is going down to 0F up here in the north tonight! Enjoy!

Thank you John (OntMont) for organizing March, Mary (Shorb - Countryfolk) and Mary of Hazmic, all suggested the same meeting, Goodness, we do like Pepe's eh?????

OKKK, we are now organized. Mary of Hazmic has indicated she may be working on February, so for now, volunteerism is working just fine!
