Niagra Falls & Finger Lakes

A trip to NY looks to be in our future. Any recommendations on Campgrounds in the Niagra Falls area as well as The Finger Lakes? (good wines to sample?)
Thanks.

There are parks in both locations. However, I like Southwoods RV park in Byron, NY. it is about 50 miles from Niagara Falls and about 60 from the Finger Lakes. Also 30 from Lake Ontario 40 from Letchworth State Park and 30 from Rochester. My mom lives about 10 miles away which is important for me.

If you stop there please tell Mike and Sue that John Kohl said hi. They hosted our 2009 NE MOC Rally.

We stayed last year at the Fifty Point Conservation Area as recommended by OntMont, friend on this forum. It became one of our favorite camping spots. It is, of course, in Ontario and allowed us to visit Niagara Falls first from the Canadian side with our friends John and Donna. It is on Lake Ontario and has many nice camp sites.

We stayed at Four Mile Creek State Park last year. Really loved it and would like to go back someday. We had a site right on Lake Ontario. It's probably not good for a long stay as there's only electric hookups, but it's good practice for boondocking! :-)
