Front inside step spongy

Has anyone had a problem with the front inside step? The one that is black rubber? Our feels like it it letting loose. Like your foot is going to go through.

I suggest you look under the step when the mental step is and see if the protection sealing is gone. With the year of your unit it sounds like water has gotten in there and it is dry rotting.
Good luck and let us know what you find.

We had the exact problem last year, ours was a '06, purchased in '05. After the Rally we took it to the factory and they got underneath that area and there is some sort of seal that had come loose during our lastest travels and the wheels apparently threw water up there and it quickly ruined that first step. They did an excellent job on the repair + all the other goodies they (Darrell) and Team Montana did. They told us that our Dealer could of taken care of this for us too.
Hope this helps. Stacy
