Largo, FL for Daughters Wedding

We are at Lee's RV Park in Largo, FL for #3 daughter's wedding. She will be having a beach wedding at Sunset Beach on Treasure Island on Saturday evening. We did the big church weddings for our first two and this one wanted the beach. Everything is prepared and everything is go.

Man I wish I'd known that you were in Largo. We are just a couple miles away. At least right now we are just a couple miles away but by the time you read this we will be heading north. Pulling out by daybreak.

Sunset Beach on Treasure Island is a very popular site for weddings. We were just up there this past week.

Have a great wedding because I know the weather should be great. HOT but great. You should have off shore breezes so it won't be too bad.

OOPS, I say great weather but than I checked the forecast.....

HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE TAMPA BAY RUSKIN FL
431 AM EDT SAT MAY 16 2009

MANATEE-HARDEE-HIGHLANDS-SARASOTA-DE SOTO-CHARLOTTE-LEE-
431 AM EDT SAT MAY 16 2009

THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR WEST CENTRAL AND SOUTHWEST
FLORIDA.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT.

...THUNDERSTORM IMPACT...
SCATTERED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED TODAY OVER MUCH
OF WEST CENTRAL AND SOUTHWEST FLORIDA TODAY...ESPECIALLY ALONG
AND WEST OF INTERSTATE 75. A FEW OF THESE STORMS MAY BE STRONG
WITH SMALL HAIL AND ISOLATED STRONG WIND GUSTS. IN ADDITION...
FREQUENT LIGHTNING STRIKES AND HEAVY DOWNPOURS ARE POSSIBLE WITH
ANY OF THE STORMS. ALL RESIDENTS AND VISITORS OF WEST CENTRAL AND
SOUTHWEST FLORIDA SHOULD KEEP AN EYE TO THE SKY TODAY. WHEN SKIES
DARKEN...MOVE INDOORS.

MARINERS SHOULD BE ON THE LOOKOUT FOR STORMS LATE IN THE AFTERNOON AS
THEY DRIFT WEST INTO THE NEAR SHORE GULF WATERS.

This is the typical daily forecast for this part of FLA. It would not be the first time a forecast was 95% wrong.
Keeping my fingers crossed for you and the entire wedding party.

All I can think of, ten years after our youngest daughter's wedding, is WOW! A beach wedding sounds like a much more relaxing way to celebrate the beginning of of a new marriage. I know the wedding will be fun for all of you.

Congratulations. It is now 3:15pm. Looks like a 50/50 chance that you can have a short thunder shower. This time of year it can rain anytime. Not only that, but, it can pour rain here at our house and a block away be dry as a bone. Good Luck'
Enoy your time here. We have a lot of interesting things to see. Have A GREAT Day.

Well, the wedding is done and it and the weather were beautiful. They newly weds are celebrating on a cruise. We arrived back home this evening. We enjoyed the beach wedding and our daughter was happy with everything. The Mountaineer did a great job serving as a florist shop, catering service and hotel. It certainly made a long distance wedding easier for us. This was the last daughter (no boys) so we're DONE!!!!

Congratulations triple father-in-law and mother-in-law! A honey-moon on a cruise. Nothing like going on a honeymoon with 998 other revelers or more. At least you won't get any bad jokes, just "if this boat's rocking it's the heavy seas." But you gotta give them credit, if their marriage starts on the rocky seas, then it can only get smoother.

I'm glad Glenn is a better RVer than he is a weatherman.

All the best to the new couple!!
