This is the best price I have seen lately. If you order, be sure to also order the extra 10' length of hose. You will need it and it will put you over the amount needed for a 50% shipping discount.

Just bought the Sewer Solution here in Elkhart at Campers Discount World.
Complete kit $94.31
Xtra 10' hose $18.49
Total $112.80
The total price was lower than the Surplus store just 3 miles away. The Kit alone was $116.00. I didn't even price the Xtra hose.
I will however be buying a 2nd Xtra hose as 20 feet won't be enough here at the Fairgrounds.
BTW-for those coming to the Fall Rally besure to have extra sewer hose. In many cases you will need 25 to 30 feet. As I have just bought the Sewer Solution I will have plenty of sewer hose to help some of you I just might not have the fittings.

I recently purchase a Sewer Solution setup. Love it so far...first impressions are it's neater and easier to deal with, but definitely slower. The instructions say it will backflush, but it seems like it takes forever and would like to see a mod to shutoff the drain hose for refilling. Either that or use other methods. I would also like to have a bag for it for storage.
I do like it on a full hookup but still need the slinky for dump stations (speed if others are waiting).

Ozzie,
Try putting a quick-connect on both the flush hose and the tank flusher. That way you can alternate it back and forth. Make sure you use the anti-siphon one-way valve.
I only use the SS flusher on the black tank. I can dump a full black tank in less than 4 minutes......Normally, just pulling the galley and the gray tank, they just run out, I then close the valves.
The flusher part of the SS is just for the pipe, not for the tank...someone may set me right here, but that is my belief.

For me, it is easy to hook up with a four shut-off manifold (available at Home Depot or Lowes). I use one valve for the SS feed hose and one valve for the tank flush hose with anti-siphon valves on the shut-off. I put my pressure regulator on a third valve and connect the fresh water feed. The fourth valve is open to be used as needed.
With this arrangement, I can use both the tank flush and the SS water jet simultaneously. I seldom, if ever, use the back wash feature. I don't think it is normally needed because of the Montana tank wash system.
One reason for using the four shut-off manifold is that it works well for full timing where long stays (week or more) are common.

Question for the folks with SS and a washing machine. Does the system drain fast enough for the drain on the washer or is there back pressure?

We don't have a washer but I believe if you had an empty tank before washing than the SS should be fine. I would not want to start washing clothes with a tank that is already over half full.

"Most" washing machines do not empty into a tank, but go directly down the line to the outlet. That is the way our 2008 3400RL was configured. The Grey did not have to be open to wash, but the drain hose had to be hooked up.

The Sewer Solution does handle washer discharge handily. The washer drains into the main discharge line. It does not dump into the black or gray water tank. We have a slide valve at the end of the discharge pipe, so the only thing I have to make sure about is to open that valve when I hook up.
On my 2003 unit, the washer was discharged into the gray water tank. That didn't turn out too good because you had to open the discharge valve on the gray tank to wash. Forgetting it put a geyser in the lavatory and the shower pan. How you operate the washer is determined on how it is hooked up.
The SS handles both the Kenmore unit we had and the Splendide unit we have now.

On my 04 it is hooked to the gray water and has to be open to run the washer. Like Stiles said if you forget to open it is a mess.

Let me rephrase this:
You are going from a 1 1/2 or 2 inch line to a SS 3/4 or 1 inch line. How does the SS handle the larger flow rate?
