Toll road or not

Coming from Iowa to the rally and see several toll roads along the route. Is this a good way to go or should I avoid the toll roads?

We're currently up in Illinois and will be dropping down to I-80 and taking it across. In the past the Indiana Toll road wasn't that great due to the State selling it to a private outfit that then went broke. I will be coming in at the last minute so I'll be taking it. I-80 and the Toll road, I do believe, is the fastest and avoids some major metro issues.

I suggest when you are on 80/94 stay on 94 to exit 40 in Indiana US20 E. That will take you around the south side of South Bend to US 33 to Goshen. No Indiana tolls and few stops.

Pros and cons both ways. The road wasn't bad. 94 leaves more towns/stoplights. We have ipass, so we took the toll road.
