MESA AZ to LAS VEGAS/LAS VEGAS TO BOISE ID

We need routes from Mesa AZ to Las Vegas. And then Las Vegas to Boise Id. Would like routes with the least steep grades if possible.

From Mesa to Vegas, take highway 93 NW to the Kingman area. Pretty flat drive. From Vegas to Boise, I don't now anything about the state highways in Nevada (and would be worried about getting stranded in a desolate area!!). But I-15 to I-84 is pretty flat also, I think and plenty of places to stop at RV Parks, etc.
Beware of the Salt Lake area highways, as it is ALWAYS busy going thru there on I15. But it is much improved from 2-3 years ago when they added lanes. Just try to time it for mid-day.

There is a short cut from just North of Las Vegas just past the NASCAR track. I hate going through Salt Lake City and this cuts a lot of time and miles off your trip. Real pretty but it has been called the "Loneliest Highway in America" and you need decent amount of fuel. Fairly high but mainly flat dry lake beds, one pass just past Majors Junction. You can take the Great Basin Highway (93) to Crystal Springs and either go up the (318) or stay on the (93) and go through Caliente. That was the route I took. They both end up in going through Ely but probably shorter on the (318). From there to Wells which is where you cross I-80 and then up to Jack Pot and into Twin Falls. I like this route but before you take it I would research it. The roads were in good shape and I talked to a state patrolman before I took it heading North. I would probably advise another route in the winter. I didn't encounter much traffic and I was only towing an enclosed tandem axle trailer with furniture in it. I have not driven the (318) only the (93) but I will take it the next trip.

I drove from Delta, Ut to Great Basin NP (which is very near Highway 93). Outside of Delta was a sign stating "No services next 100 miles" (somewhere near 100 anyway). And in that stretch I believe we met 1 or 2 cars individually and then 3 or 4 together. No other traffic. Don't get a flat or run out of gas!!!
