3700LK or 3701LK experience
Looking for anyone that has a 3700LK or 3701LK. Very curious how the rear kitchen setup works out traveling. Is there a lot of movement in the cabinets and refrigerator? Seriously thinking of pulling the trigger, but wanted some feedback.
Thanks,
Don

We have the 3701LK and traveled 650 miles from Ohio to Mississippi and nothing moved at all. All cabinet doors stayed closed and nothing inside them shifted that we noticed.

We have the 3700LK and it's no different then any other trailer when it comes to "movement". Depending on how packed you have the fridge some stuff on the shelves may move around a bit, but we use "load locks" in the fridge that we used in our prior travel trailer and as for the cabinets, same thing. All the doors stay closed, so that's not an issue. We go to once CG near us and one roads is bumpy as can be and no issues with things bouncing out.
Every trailer will bounce and cabinets may or may not come open. Though, in my opinion, because it does bounce back there in the kitchen, unless you're parking it on a seasonal, I would recommend a RV fridge over the res fridge. The RV fridge are built for that, and RES fridge is not and to be honest, I'm not sure how long an RES fridge would last in this floorplan compared to other floorplans

Can't speak for that specific floor plan but we did full time for 6 years in a 2012 3585SA which is a rear kitchen Montana and we NEVER had a problem with drawers/cabinets opening or anything breaking. If that one had the storage our current one does we would still be in it.

Its time for keystone to offer an independent suspension option on there Montana's. There only getting bigger and heavier and even the larger models should come already equipped.

At the very minimum these upper end units should at least have the option for better suspension, like the MORryde IS!
I'm sure those of us who know the benefits would op for better suspension from the Factory vs spending two days at MORryde.

Good to know. I am not convinced the residential refrigerators are the way to go yet. Thanks Mike

We full time and we have a Norcold 1210 and that fridge is nothing but problems. New cooling unit, new boards, Florida heat can hold a temp, dont leave the door open too much. be careful how much food to put in it. If i had to do it all over the norcold would be norgone. so don't go on the fact that if you choose the rv fridge you are not going to have problems. Just our two cents.

On this model, as you know the fridge is NOT in a slide unit. Just that being said, it will be more stable going down the road, and also you don't have to worry about the weight of it in a slide. We have NOT had any movement of items in our fridge on the superslabs(sarcasm) of this great state of Ohio!! I personally like the residential fridge better than the rv unit. It stay colder in freezer and the fridge is better temp controlled also. ALOT larger storage in both areas.
What makes you think "its not the way to go yet"?

Can't comment on travel, but live in mine full time. If you ever want to compare notes, just ask. Not my first, had Alpine before this.
