Ideas Needed- Adding Surge Protector

Has anyone added a surge protector in the 3400RL?

I am looking for ideas for installation. It appears to me the only method to add the surge protector is to add a junction box under the stairs to the bedroom where the 50 amp wiring comes through the floor an into the wall up to the fuse panel.

This will require cutting the wire at this point and adding the junction box with the placement of the surge protector in the garage near the drain pipe from the lavatory.

Here are pictures of my Surge guard and transfer switch. This is voltage spike protection for the entire trailer. I don't know if this is what you are looking for, but if not, you could still hardwire an in line device this way. Also are pictures of my transfer switch web site, and my home surge protection.

Thanks for the pics. I am looking at the Surge Guard Model 34560. I had not thought of placing the unit in the upper corner of the front door closet.

I was under the stairs and looking to add a connector/junction box there and placing the surge guard in the basement.
