Has anyone sold their 5th wheel in California?

We are selling our 2017 3820FK Full Body Paint Legacy Edition Montana listed in the for sale section, and I was wondering, has anyone on this site sold a 5th wheel to someone in the State of California before? When I read the CA DMV site, it says not only does the buyer and seller have to sign the papers, but so do two more witnesses, which I assume can be our wives, but then it says you need to get it notarized as well? Is this for real?

I purchased a 5th wheel last year in LA & could not believe the amount of paperwork, & it was used from a dealer. Yes it had to be notarized & signed by a witness. When I registered in NY they didn't even look at that stuff, just the buyers agreement so I could pay the correct tax.

We sold our California licensed 2013 Sunset Trail 5th wheel earlier this year here in the great state of CA. The buyer's credit union handled all the CA DMV paperwork and we did not use a notary to authenticate the paperwork. I've sold cars and motorcycles as a private seller here in CA and have never needed to have the paperwork notarized. Maybe with the recent SB-1 road repair taxes imposed by the Governor and Legislature, things have changed.

I sold my C class last year, licensed and housed in California. After the loan was paid off the only other item (other than a clean, signed title and smog) that I gave the buyer was a bill of sale. Nothing Notarized

I have sold three RVs here in CA. All I have ever done is sign off on the pink slips and send a notification of sale to DMV. The buyers had no issues transferring the title.
