Shocks

Has anyone done a shock upgrade on there Monatana to help with the ride quality of the 5th.

Did on our '10 2955RL in a round-about way. Added shocks with the Mor/ryde IS.
I understand there are good and bad shock kits out there, with some having the shocks at such an extreme angle that they do no good.

I looked at that also and decided to go with IS on the old rig and will do IS on the new rig when we are up in Elkhart for the Rally.

Aside from the placebo of having "shocks" on your fiver or TT ... if you really examine most any RV trailer setup, you'll easily see since the shocks are mounted at so great an angle that they can use barely any stroke to compliment the ride. A trailer suspension doesn't have the travel say a truck suspension does to start with. Yeah I know some of you believe your shocks improve the ride infinitely ... your opinion vs mine. Joy Rider is an aftermarket company that makes shock kit add ons that allow for a lesser angle of mount, but if you read reviews, the "like ems" and "don't like ems" are near equally split.

It's not worth it! Had them on old 5er they were on when we got they would break the bolts all the time took them off and could not till the diff!
