I have never seen such a wide difference between diesel and gas as there is in this area now.2.79.9 gas 3.49.9 diesel. This is in Northern , Ohio. There is absolutly no reason for this????? I just put 146.95 worth of Diesel in my School bus for 42 gals of diesel.

3.23 here in north west Iowa. Getting to the point we are letting the trailer sit a lot. Hoping the prices go down soon. But with home heating oil getting into high demand in the north east I would suspect it will stay high until the middle of November.

It is $3.15-$3.19 in southern Oregon. We have been paying these prices for some time and the rest of the country is catching up. We just stick closer to home and are fortunate a lot of our state parks are open year round for camping.

Really crazy how prices vary and change each day. In Gainesville, Texas we have Diesel ranging from 2.87 to 3.23. Diesel is running about 0.20 higher than regular gas. It really hurts to fill up the large tanks.

3.199 at the rv park's station here at the reno rally, near Carson City, NV. We won't let the prices stop us at this point but we'll kick off the cruise and not let the powerstroke keep us at the cruise setting up the long hills. We'll let it slow to save fuel. And we'll drive slower and stay in one place longer. However, we need to get back to Kansas City over a 19 day span of time and that's over 1900 miles the route we'll take. That will put a lot of wear and tear on the wallet but even more on my thrift-conscious soul.

Thought I would add my $00.02 worth in on this 'high-priced' thread.... We just traveled from Washington to Texas. We paid $2.999 in Mt. Vernon, Washington and $2.699 in Bastrop, Texas. The highest we paid on the trip was $3.399 ( Don't have my trip records with me and don't recall where that was .... didn't think I would ever forget!)
We are also at the Reno Rally and only paid $3.119 at he Eagle station on the West side of US 395 on the North edge of Carson City.

$3.39 here in KY - last fillup was in Clarksville, IN at 2.85 Sept 30th. Have been at my Aunts farm since but not looking forward to the prices facing us heading west on Thursday.
Safe travels.

Has anyone heard whether or not refiners are shifting production toward home heating fuel and away from diesel? This could account for the spike in diesel if refiners are reducing their output on No 2. I have no idea if they would do something like this, but it could make sense.

Just filled up: $84.50 @ $3.199 gallon. Gas is $2.749. Really ticks me off. If I'm going to have to pay more then the diesel should be filtered so clean that I don't need the filters I have to run on the truck.
