slide trouble

bedroom slide made popping noise when retracting it and now wont go back out. any help?

What year & modul montana do you have? cable or hydraulic slide..

2017 keystone Montana. We are new to camping and I see cables on the bottom and on top when the slide is in. So I'm guessing it's a cable slide.

it made a popping noise right when it got fully retracted and now wont go back out. the motor will run but no movement of the slide

Sounds like the gearbox probably went south they have plastic gears in them and it's a real common problem they are not to bad to replace just make sure you get the chains on
right. I'v done them on SOB's

You have a 2017 ? Get the dealer to change it under warranty. Gear box has white metal gears. Cable slides are a proven technology but the gear box's they are using are cheap and come from China. If you attempt the job yourself ensure you mark your chains where they go on the gears or you will have a few curse words and alot of work you didn't need to have.

Also I would call your dealer now and have them order the gear box as most do not stock them. I waited almost 4 weeks for one this past summer due to suppliers being out of stock in North America.

The 2018 3791RD we picked up this week has 2 hydraulic and 3 electric slides.
