Bedroom slide leak
Hello all,
I’m having a bedroom leak issue on my new 2018 Montana HM385BR. The leak is on the front, bottom corner of my bedroom slide. The top and side are dry. The techs in the area are backed up of coarse, and I’d like to at least diagnose the issue while waiting for my appointment. Has anybody had this issue? Any tips are appreciated!

Haven't heard of this on a new rig in a while, but on older rigs it's a cauking problem with the square piece on the bottom outside corners of the slide.

Others have reported similar issue with the culprit being the caulk between the face of the slide and the trim piece. (approximate 6' piece of trim that frames the face of the slide.) I believe small bead of clear silicone caulk might fix your problem.

I’ve read that on other threads. The problem is I’m not sure where to caulk. There’s rubber strips above the slide rollers, a small foam strip right in the corner, and the rubber strip coming down the side. The rubber strip on the side is slight rolled up do to , what’s seems to be, cut too long. Also the plastic sheet on the bottom of the slide is separating from the slide.

There have also been reports of water coming from the windows (if you have any) in the slide. The water comes in and trickles down the inside wall to the base. You might want to check the caulking around the windows if you have any and also make sure the drain or weep hole is clear and lets water drain out of the groove for the window to slide in.

Check the condition of the trim that is attached to the lower side of the slide that runs from the slide flange area back and into the montana. Mine had no sealant closer to the rv.

I’ve caulked everything I can physically get to, and the issue remains. I’m thinking it’s got to be weather stripping being cut short, wrong, or damaged.

Check to make sure the horizontal flap covers the vertical flap. These are the wipe flaps that are visible on the outside and sometimes need to be adjusted after opening the slides.

Bedroom leak
We have a mess on our 2955. Leaks bad with slide in for winter and now pulled off the membrane under slide and very wet- looks like it has been awhile.
