Montana Recall
Keystone RV Company (Keystone) is recalling certain 2018 Keystone Montana fifth-wheel trailers. The switch for the slide-out room may not have circuit protection. Without circuit protection, if the slide-out switch wiring shorts to ground, there would be an increased risk of a fire. Keystone will notify owners, and dealers will install a inline fuse for that circuit, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin July 8, 2018. Owners may contact Keystone customer service at 1-866-425-4369. Keystone’s number for this recall is 18-320.

Wonder how that got by the "engineering" staff at keystone? Would have thought that they would have a master electrician on staff to review all plans and then review actual wiring, etc on first runs of a new model or new year.. Not impressed.

This doesn’t surprise me one bit about Keystone.Their quality control and accountability is not much and it’s passed right down to their.
dealers.No protection what so ever at all for consumers.Ridiculous 1 year warranties.
Definetly needs looking into by proper authorities.

Do you know if it is for Just Montanas or does it cover HCs also.
Thanks for sharing this. I am asking because ours is at the dealer and can just get this added to the list.

I am not so sure Keystone has a real Engineering staff.I think they leave that up to the Vendor. I will ask tat question at the Fall rally.

I went to https://www.keystonerv.com/owners/recalls/ . The recall shows up under Montana and not under High Country. So it does not look like High Countries are affected.
Looking at the recall notice itself if affects serial numbers J4703490 - J4703802

"The switch for the slide out room" Hmmmmmm. Our 3791RD has 4 switches. 3 for electric slides and 1 for 2 hydraulic slides. Wonder which "one"!
