We are tired of counting down!

Today it would be 4 month's 12 days 4 hrs and 19 seconds.
Yesterday morning I asked Sue if she could think of a reason why we couldn't go sooner... like whenever we get the last items on our check-list done. She paused for a minute and said she could think of no reason.
The guy I was training did a stupid thing and lifted a condensing unit by himself; bulging disc, can't work.
So, to hell with it. My customers will have to call someone else, I am going to hit the road. It will take as long as it takes for us to get ready, install new awning, switch toolboxes, remove ladder rack, install air pump, piping, air horns (only 2), rear camera wiring.
Maybe a month.
Where out west, or north-west do people go in the summer? We have been winter travelers.
See you on the road.

That's a lot of territory, Ozz, but a good start is Colorado (otherwise known as the 'Texas Alps.') Cool, Colorful Colorado.

Or Wyoming . . . or Montana

Now that you're free, why don't you head to the Mid-Atlantic Rally in August and the Fall Rally. We'd love to meet you.

Mid-Atlantic... Mid-Atlantic, sounds hot. I would like to meet you as well, but after a lifetime of fixing A/C units on rooftops and mosquito infested back yards, heat and humidity always making me miserable; cool and dry. I am seeking cool and dry.

Check weather almanacs before heading for Moab and southern Utah, I am not sure, but, it might get hot there (we are here now, and it is NOT hot! LOL)

Stay north, take advantage of this opportunity to do the northern states, Minnesota (gorgeous up by Superior), Idaho, Washington, Montana, Oregon. Now, I am dripping with trip envy! HAHA

Upper Michigan, Wisconsin, all the northern tier, Upper New York, Maine. More trip envy!

Leave the southern tier for winter, middle tier for spring and fall, lower tier for winter. We stayed in Arizona till almost May, it was a good decision, this year for this weather for Al and I.

Have fun!

The rally is up in the mountains where it will be cooler with less humidity. It will be a nice relief for us.

We are currently enroute to Oregon....at present in NM heading to Sedona the Petrified Forest, Painted Desert and then Grand Canyon, Arches, Salt Lake, then on to Oregon for granddaughters graduation. We will leave Oregon head over to Yellowstone meet up with daughter and SIL for a week. Then South Dakota, MT Rushmore, etc....the off the New England to visit the rest of the kids....then to the Fall Rally and back to FL for the winter. This is the year of our circumnavigation, figured we had to be in Oregon so take advantage of the trip and see as much as possible. Maybe we'll bump into you somewhere on the road....have a safe trip and enjoy!!!!!

I agree with Carol, take advantage of the Northern States as these are places you can't visit in the winter months. We only travel during the winter months and stick to the Southwest mostly. However, in the next year of two we want to take a late summer trip to the Northwest. We have already seen most of the Northeast since this is where we live.

The Pacific Northwest, coastal Oregon and Washington, is beautiful in the summer months. Can be a little rainy off and on, but beautiful. We are in Newport, Oregon, for the summer - come visit!

Ozz,
Go for it! Come join us in Oregon. You can easily spend all summer in the Pacific North West. The summertime climate is excellent. Whatever you do I'm sure you will enjoy it! Hope to see you on the road soon. Dennis

Yes! Colorado, Southern Utah, Northern AZ, etc. But-we have been coast to coast and we have throughly enjoyed this big beautiful country. There is eye candy everywhere. Even US 50 through NV is interesting.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Enjoy your travels!
