Niagara Falls, New york

We plan on crossing the border into the US from Canada at Niagara Falls, New York. We would like to spend two nights in the area before heading to Gohen for the Rally. We also would like to spend two nights in Erie, Pennsylvania area and two nights in Ohio on the route to Goshen, Indiana. Any suggestions on RV Parks would be appreciated.
Thanks, Ron & Rose

Near Niagara Falls, I would suggest Four mile Creek SP in NY state. There is a park on the waterfront in Erie where an MOC member was work camping, it sounded pretty good, try doing a search on "Erie". We have stayed at Mohican SP in Ohio. (make sure that you get the new area though, the old area would not handle a Montana. There is also a KOA that is pretty good off I-75 (can't remember the name, it was one of those long Indian-sounding names.) Hope some of this helps you.

If you're staying just 2 nights in Erie, I would suggest Sara's Campground (sarascampground.com). It's right at the entrance to Presque Isle State Park, it has a restaurant right at the campground, and it is close to any other Erie streets you may need to get around.

Be sure to tell them the rig's size requirements since they have their campground separated on two sides of the road and the "lakeside" camping is crowded and mostly permanent sites.

The Lampe Marina is quite a ways from anything except industrial sites and is very barren. It is gated, and when we went to look at it there was no one around, the gate was locked, and there were no numbers or information posted.

Just before you cross the border there is a very nice KOA on the Canada side... They have a bus right across the road from the park that will take you to the falls.. The Gardens are beautiful and not to be missed. If you leave there early and cross to the US side you will have time to see everything from that side... Surprising how different it looks from each side. We did think the Canadian side was a little better view though but that is just our opinion.

There is an easy in and out park right off the interstate in Sandusky that we stayed at last year.

We have never camped in New York State, been in Ontario almost a month.
So we would like to have Monty in New York a couple of nights.

In Grand Island NY there is a KOA right off the interstate rt-190, It is no farther than 10 miles from the canadian border. On the way to Erie on rt-5 in Westfield ny there is a KOA . This is about 8 miles from the PA border and about 25 miles from Erie. Also before westfield there is Lake Erie Stae Park on Rt 5 Just a few miles before the KOA. The state park is a very nice facility for larger trailers and also have 50 amp service in one area. In this area you are better off staying in these kinds of parks due to your trailer size.there are some others, but off the path,so to say.
