We used the disk and grease on pin and jaws until we got the pullrite hitch. Now it's only WD40 and that seems to work well also.

I've used both. Prefer disk because I'd grease myself otherwise.

Been using the disc since we got our first Montana back in '08. We have the Reese Slider with a shortbed 3500. I lube the jaws, any moving parts and the slides with slide dry lube and have had no problems with the hitch or the pin. I do spray the plate every so often with the dry lube also. I did switch head on the hitch to a 20K last year but that was all and have continued to use the same routine year after year. I do clean the moving parts of the hitch every so often with spray brake cleaner just to get the crud out of there and then use the dry lube when the brake cleaner dries or evaporates.

dirt that way.

Hi

We have been using the disk for 8 years and 100,000 miles we had to replace it one time.
