Tampa area trip

We are planning a trip to Tampa this Wednesday. IF anyone still in the area would you like to get together somewhere? Sure would like to see some MOC'ers, so far, none here in Peace River.....What should I see in Tampa???? Need some help here!!!!!

Phil, There is a free boat tour by the Port Authority of Tampa each day just off I-4. About a 47-50 ft. boat. Reservations are required the day before and the boat leaves at 9am. Kids to adults learn a lot from the trip. Anyone wanting the phone # for reservations post and I'll get the #
Next to the Port of Authority boat is a huge Liberty Ship from WWII. Small donation gets you a self guided tour of the ship which is VERY educational and interesteing Twice a year the ship goes out on its on power to the gulf and back. Volunteers dressed as WWII soliders complete with jeeps man the deck..all for $99 a trip each person. Note....carry you water when you get on the ship....you'll need it.
Next to the Liberty ship is the Aquarium.
Hooters one block away. Plenty to see and do in the area.
And finally, yes we are available for a lunch or dinner.

you can see the pink seats at the tampa bay stadium that were red at 1 time .. or all the trafic that is out of this world , but besides that its the new bridge 5 years ago..sailer

We were there yesterday. I won a nice junk of money at the Hard Rock Casino and had a wonderful crab lunch at the Buffet. This was all without spending a dime of our money. They had sent us free funny money and dinner tickets.

Hope you can get together with Hugh and Pat. Great people. Sorry we didn't get a chance to meet while we were all in Ocala last week.

Helen, we were only in Ocala for one day to get suspension checked at Tampa Spring then drove to Peace River that afternoon arriving in Peace River around 7pm.....Whew!!!!!
If there is anyone else in the Tampa area, Let's get together......

Phil, I think there is an air museum just east of Tampa on I4 at Lakeland. Also a couple of CG there Tike Village and Lakeland RV resort just off I4 also.
