Led Awning Lights

I want to put on led awning lights. I'm leaning to multiple color lights. My question is, do I use cheap lights from E-Bay or get a good set from Carefree, Dometic or a set of Boogy lights. I,m not a rich man by any means, but believe in buying quality products. Any suggestions for me? Thanks

I have led lights installed on the trailer 2" below the awning strip on the side of the trailer. I used led strip from amazon that cost $9 and they are rated for exterior use. They are wired into the porch light which was easy to do.

I purchased mine from eBay. I got 5M (16ft) 5050 waterproof RGB 12v 300 led light strip. They work great. I like multi color (RGB)leds this way you can select any color you want. I too attached mine to the RV right below where the awning is attached and tapped into my porch light.

I replaced my porch light with a Star Light Smart Light 1000 motion activated light. I also installed a small toggle switch on the side of my porch light housing so I can select either the porch light or the led strip to be on when I turn on the porch light switch inside the coach.

A little advice. There are a lot of different ones on eBay. If you buy your's from eBay make sure you get a 12 volt light strip not a 24 volt one. Make sure it's waterproof and make sure it comes with a power supply and 44 button remote. A lot of them don't come with power supplies or remotes and are 24 volt.

I got mine from eBay and they work great. Then again I am not a full timer. I'm only a weekend camper (once a month)so they don't get used that much.

Yes there is one place on the Amazon link that says indoor use only... But there is 10 spots that say waterproof or indoor/ outdoor use. I have had mine installed for the last year in the rain while running down the road with no problems. When I bought mine I ordered 4 sets and sold the rest at the get together in Quartzsite. As far as I know the other sets are working fine.

Got mine on Amazon for @$25 5050's outdoor ... Been on for 2.5 years and still good. I did have to peel off the original adhesive strip and go to Autozone and get the GM trim adhesive roll. Still I can't see the $100+ price of the ones at a dealership or CW.

Ditto on the 5050's. Mounted to roller tube with Velcro. I liked them so much that I got another set for our House and put them under our floating vanity in the Master Bath which was just remodeled.
