Dometic Microwave Plate

I cracked our Dometic microwave plate into three parts while popping popcorn last winter in Texas. New plate cost $70.00 from Dometic, what a rip off. I have checked E-Bay forever trying to find a cheap replacement, no luck. Anyone ever had this problem and what did you use as a replacement plate? I am looking at a new microwave that also has a roasting option for $69.00, and dump the Dometic, but will have to make some shelf width adjustment in the Moumtaineer.

Perhaps a plate out of the Apollos that everyone is throwing away would work.

If that plate just rests on the turntable, perhaps there's a replacement a lot cheaper from a "non-RV" microwave. You might want to measure some of those you've been looking at, find a model no., Google it to find an owner's manual, part #, and source address, phone #, or e-mail.

We broke our little plastic thing that the glass turn table sits on. Searched everywhere on internet and no luck. Finally got one from Dometic. Our Microwave has a thing that sits in a hole in center of the microwave and think that is what makes it go around.

The warranty is good for 3 years on the microwave. The last year is for parts only, I would think this is a part.
