Comfortaire Dreamaire Mattress

My wife and I are on the lookout for a new mattress as we are not happy with the one we have been using for the last couple of years. Does anyone have experience with the Comfortaire Dreamaire mattress? It's in the Camping World flyer this month on sale. The sale price is almost half of the regular price and it is pricey!

I found a review and a YouTube clip of the home version on an apparently unbiased site called Sleeplikethedead and they give it a fairly high ranking based on over 100 user reviews.

Not sure what the dreamaire is, but I do have a Comfortaire in my house for thirteen years. I put a Comfortaire RV mattress in the 5'er after my first trip out. Can get rounded or square ends. Great mattress.

Thank you for your posted answer. Your opinion seems to match with most of the opinions on this mattress, the majority of which were generated by people using them in their homes versus an RV.

Not sure, but might just be a new fancy name since it's still made by the Sleep Number folks. We ordered the King Radius Corner Sleep Number after our first 3 month outing with our Monty. That mattress is now in it's third 5er.

Comfortaire was first, than two engineers left the company and started Select Comfort. I believe Select Comfort now owns Comfortaire.

How can they give you half off on anything? They charge too much to begin with and they are still making money.
A guy called and ask do your products ever go on sale " no we charge a fair price to begin with.

You are probably right mlh; the sale was 'gone' when I tried to buy it.

You do not have to buy a special "RV Mattress"! Go to any good mattress store and try them until you find the one YOU like best.

BTW, you don't have to use "RV Toilet Tissue" either!

I think a short king size isn't found in mattress stores. Some people on RV sites like latex models. Might look at those.

I'm the guy who likes, loves latex, but I would say before you spend big bucks on a mattress or anything shop around try every mattress you can find. No need to buy anything and find later you could have something that better fitted your needs. The only perfect mattress or anything is the best one for you.

Another thing to consider is the weight. Latex mattresses are quite a bit heavier than a pocket coil or "regular" type of mattress.
