If you're talking about old Dixie highway 25, there are a lot of semis taking that route. I've driven it in a car but not towing. The semis were on my tail the whole way.

last July we were heading North on I-75 and an accident closed the Interstate at Jellico. The "official" detour was 25W which was packed and is a twisting winding 2 lane road. We went on over to 25E on Tn SR63 and went into Corbin Ky on 25E. We were towing and had no problems at all.
