Lemonade out of my Lemon...

It looks like my truck being in the shop for 30 days this time around, plus if I add the other trips to the dealership for fixes, may qualify for the Missouri Lemon law.The law states if you are without the vehicle because of repairs for 30 days, or they can't fix it after repeated attempts, it qualifies. The first site I read mentioned a time frame of the first 18 months, but when I went to the Missouri Attorney General site, it did not have the time frame in it, just as long as the warranty was still in effect.
The same General Manager of the dealership is working at my dealership now that worked at the Chevrolet dealership in Liberty Missouri where I bought a new Chevy truck, that dealership could not fix a drive-line defect (or just gave up on it, stopped trying to fix it.) Anyway, I took them to court under the Lemon law and won my case, I made them buy me out, then bought a Ford...
I will go over today, start my complaint and see where it goes.
Yesterday, the service-writer called and told me the Ford engineer was not back in town, but when he comes back in town, he will work on my truck with the mechanic.
Does this big screw sticking out of my back make me look fat?

Ozz,
Sorry to hear about your truck. It can be very frustrating when they are unable to fix the problem. Maybe it's time to go back to a Chevy.

Jim,
Stick your arms straight out from your side and take several steps.

I want to see if you are rolling or waddling.

Really sorry about the circumstances. If it's any consolation, Earlene named the SOB, "Citrus." She was trying to be polite.

Bill, here is the thread on it, but there is, what I think a rear Turbo defect, no loss of power, just a mechanical noise that has increased over time, now it is really loud. Their mechanics were baffled, the dealership called in the factory engineer/expert. He is probably somewhere in a neighboring state working on someone else's problem now.
While my truck sits on the back lot.

Wow...TWO lemons in such a short time span?
Maybe time to move into a Dodge! (sorry couldn't resist!)
Hope you get the issue resolved soon, must be very frustrating!

Well, we have gone through the Yugo, Chevy and Dodge, I guess there is GMC and Honda, the big HD trucks.
I don't think I will live long enough to try them all, I think when I buy one, it amounts to the Kiss of Death for the truck. It's not that I abuse them, I even get the work done at the brand dealership of the truck I buy.
When we meet, keep me away from your TV....

Thanks for the laugh about the big screw sticking out of your back! The situation, however, is anything but funny. I'm happy with my Dodge Ram ... hey, what do you have to lose at this point? Hope this gets resolved to your satisfaction.

As a businessman, I think the mechanic working on it has a good idea of what is wrong, but is restricted by the Bean-counters on spending time going in that direction. They probably have been 'bitten' in the past, by spending time and parts when it did not need them, to fix the problem. By deferring to the factory Ford engineer, the ball is in his court now. They are not sticking their necks out on it.
Or.... they could be a bunch of D.A's.
I think the next step is to remove the chassis from the frame, a labor intensive and drastic step required by having the rear of the engine kissing up to the A.M. F.M. radio location in the dash....

You can't really blame then for protecting their asses but how long do you go without your truck. I have always found the way to make money is to do what is right and forget about the bottom line.
