Quartzite

When we get our new fifth wheel...hopefully we will pick one up soon...we want to plan a trip to Quartzite. We are in Billings, MT and the winters can get very cold. We would like to drive down to a warmer place. My parents have been to Quartzite but not with an RV. So for a newbie where is the best place to stay, how long should we plan to visit, and what tips and tricks do you have? I can't wait to plan this trip!

Hi Carol, welcome to the forum!

I have lots of relatives in Montana, my dad was born in Whitefish.

I'm a newbie here too, but I think every year there is a rally in Quartzite in January. We didn't have our trailer in time this year, but hope to make it next January. They just gather in the desert it sounds like and "circle the wagons" and have a good old time. As to where else to stay, I'm sure folks will be along shortly to make some good suggestions...

Made it to Q for one night this past January...WOW. A friend who goes every year commented over lunch that if someone nuked Quartzite in January, it would be the biggest transfer of wealth in the nation's history and both Medicare and Social Security would suddenly be solvent.
