RV Parks in Moab, Utah

I did a search here and could not find anything about campgrounds in Moab Utah so I was hoping some of you might have something recent to share about Moab Valley RV Park and/or Riverside Oasis. I checked some other sites as well and found mostly older reviews from 2010-11. We have a reservation at Moab Valley on June 20th but was wondering if I picked the best campground. Comments or suggestions? BTW, I am really glad I joined MOC. I do read the various posts on a regular basis and have learned so much from all of your experiences. Thank you for sharing!

We stayed at Riverside Oasis RV park. It was okay - I think fairly large spots. Right on the river - however there is a 10 foot high levee between the park and river so no view. To be honest, I don't remember much else about it.

We stayed at the KOA that is south of town and another park that is north. I prefer the KOA--easy access and no traffic noise. Check out our trip journal for more details. We do enjoy going to Moab--so much to see and do!
Also check out RV Park Reviews for some other comments on Moab RV Parks.

We stayed at Spanish Trail RV Park when we were out there 4 years ago. Really nice, quiet park (except for the drunk rock climbing jeep owner who decided to pack up at 2am.) Trees on every spot and plenty of room. I'd go back for sure. And just out of town so not near as much hustle and bustle. It was a nice drive back and forth to the parks each day.

Most of these reviews at campgroundreviews.com for Moab are from 2012. Lots of options and variable opinions.

NUNYA posted looking for workcampers at his park in Moab. Might be an opportunity to check out a fellow MOC members park.

We just did 4 nights last week at Portal RV resort. It was AWESOME! They have a resort side and a regular side, we were on the regular side, which is cheaper. It was wonderful. Folks were welcom9ing and helpful, bath houses clean, away from the road, so little noise. Compared with some of the others we saw, we would recommend Portal! You will love the area. The parks are amazing.
