Real Height

We are debating putting a front A/C on the Montana. Our storage building has a 13'4" opening...will it still fit with a front A/C in place?? The brochure says the height is 12'9", but who knows how that was measured.

Thanks.

You may note that the highest point is NOT the front A/C as the roof begins to slope down a bit. We do have the front low profile A/C and the highest point is the vent cover over the bathroom vent at 13'3.Howver..measure for yourself.....

My experience - and reading others' experiences - DO NOT go by the brochure listing for height (or length either for that matter). I went up on the roof and hauled up an 8 ft 2x4 (as straight as I could find and a 3 ft carpenters level. I duct taped a tape measure on the end. I tried a couple different spots while the wife read the tape on the bottom. Like Rich, I have a front AC.

Make sure you are rigged up and on a flat paved surface with your tv and Montana. I was 12 ft 10 in.

When you hook up to take the measurements, make sure if you have air bags to inflate them to your normal driving pressure.

I would think also you may have to keep in mind how high you have to raise to unhook the trailer.

I had the same problem...trying to determine how tight a fit I was going to have. Finally put a 15" box where the A/C would go and pulled the trailer out of it's storage facitlity...box did not hit the ceiling, so the A/C would fit.

I just had a front ac installed. I was concerned about the height. The cover for the ac is 11.5 inches tall and the measurement from the hooked up trailer to the surface below is 12 feet. The keystone specifications list our 3485sa at 12'9". Give or take we are about 13'3".

It's real close, but it will fit. Picked up a few inches when lowering the trailer on to the truck.
