Transfer Switch???

I have a 2011 3400RL with a factory installed generator. At last year's fall rally I bought a surge protector. Now, I want to install the surge protector. I know it needs to be between the transfer switch and the distribution panel. Where is the transfer switch? Pictures of the switch and its location would be very helpful. Any other advice would also be welcome. With any luck, I'll have the protector installed by this year's rally.

Thanks for the help in advance. I hope to see you in Goshen.

If you can't find it, is it possible to just put it where you see the Power In wires at the distribution panel? This would be on the other side of the transfer switch, too. I'm sure the preference is to be able to access or view the surge protector, but maybe you could rig this up. Just a thought on another option.

I'm sure it's better to know where the transfer switch is located, but I'm just putting out another idea.

Walt,
My transfer switch is located behind the battery next to the generator on the frame between the front compartment and the storage area. It is a black box about 8"x8" and the name on the front is IOTA.
I am not sure yours will be the same area or brand.
You know each unit is different by who wired it and what brand they had handy at the time.

On my 3400, I do not have a generator but I do have the generator prewire. One end of the prewire is in the generator compartment in the front. The other end of the prewire is behind the bulkhead on the curb side (right behind the 110v outlet and the 12v outlet on the wall). I would suspect that is where the transfer switch would be. You have the generator lead and the shore line both in that location. That is where I installed my transfer switch.
