New Surround Sound

I never had a warm and fuzzy tingle from my factory surround sound. Since I seem to have a psychic connection to the buyers at Costco, it didn't surprise me at all to walk in to one the other day to find a surround sound system on sale (factory rebate) that had me circling my cart like a wounded pigeon on a bag of popcorn.

The DW saw my dilemma, and in an apparent total loss of principles, coughed up the rationale for me to go ahead and buy it. Must have been the progress I was making on the honey do list. Anyway I've finally got it installed and it is sweet. So sweet that I thought I'd share.

It was $389 with a $40 rebate. The unit is a SC-BT235 from Panasonic. It has a port for your Iphone or Ipod or any other Ithing you might have. You plunk your phone on it and it makes all of your Ithing music, pics, videos, available for your TV and Audio system. It also has an internet connection from which I can directly access Pandora, Netflix, Amazon Movie Rental/purchase, weather, Utube, and Twitter.

It plays Blue Ray, DVD, and CD in all the latest formats and the sound is awesome. I've got it hooked to my wireless router and the TV is connected for audio so I can listen to TV over the surround.

Life is good. Now back to the @#$@#% list.

I just gave Dave a great laugh by reading your post to him. He loves surround sound even though we are both half deaf. I wouldn't know a woofer from a tweeter. But....I do love technology, so I appreciate your love of your new system. Still laughing about the wounded pigeon reference!!

LOL, eh?

I started with a sailor circling a hootchie bar after 4 mos. at sea, then figured I should clean it up for the forum.

Dave says, that as a former Coastie, the hootchie bar reference would have been a hit with him. He said...been there, done that.
